More About the Show
Hailing from the Great Pacific Northwest, we offer a unique and oft times entertaining perspective about the movies we grew up watching from the 80’s to today. We will also head down the conspiracy rabbit hole with regularity examine many of the popular and obscure conspiracy theories. Please get involved with the show. Below are several ways you can connect with us. The goal of our show is to reach an audience and develop a following organically over time. Feel free to become a part of that.
Edwardo – Host
Edwardo hosted the podcast “Basement Boyz” from 2008-2012. After 146 episodes, the show went on hiatus…for six + years. About two or three years into the hiatus, Ward decided the show was officially over, but hoped to at one point start producing some kind of podcast.
Enter Basement Boyz 2. In the Fall of 2017, whilst riding the elliptical in his shop gym, Edwardo took notice of the underutilized space in the corner of his shop. After a brief text exchange with former co-host Derek, and getting the Mrs.’ approval, the wheels were in motion. Less than two weeks later, Edwardo and Derek returned to comfortable territory behind their mics. in April of 2019 the show’s name officially changed to “The Time Spent Poorly Show!”
Ol’ Hudds Magruder – Host
Hudds joined the show with regularity in 2019 and has been a fixture ever since. Hudds brings a wealth on pop culture nostalgia to the show. His well rounded knowledge of conspiracy theories that are out there today is also a plus. Hudds is also a co-host for “Smartmark Wrasslin'”
Derek – Guest Host
In addition to guest hosting on this show, Derek also co-hosts “Smartmark Wrasslin” and “The Sports Program on TSPN” with Zach Swan and Shaun Walters.
Derek has done standup comedy and worked in the podcast medium off and on for the past ten years.
In early 2009, after being introduced to Ward by then “Basement Boyz” co-host Josh C., Derek was asked to join the program. A history of all the chance encounters, breakups, and other drama that led to “Basement Boyz” and now “The Time Spent Poorly Show!” in every era can be heard on episode 10 of the first season of the show with guest and former co-host Nathan Betts.
